Who we are.
MONA is a composition and music supervision studio working across feature films, TV series, commercials, fashion and performance. We collaborate with visionary directors, production companies, brands, agencies, and the wider music community, to compose or curate/license music that resonates emotionally and elevates each frame.
Founded in 2020 by award-winning collaborators Alison Manicourt and Shervin Hejazi, MONA combines deep expertise in bespoke composition and music supervision. Between them, they’ve held roles at Warner Music Group, Concord Music Group, Abbey Road Studios (HotHouse), among other leading music supervision agencies, publishers and labels.
Working internationally, their practice is shaped by experience across London, Barcelona and Paris, and a cross-cultural perspective spanning French, British, Persian, and Spanish backgrounds.
What we do.
We provide two tailored services > original composition and music supervision:
On the composition side, we craft bespoke original scores, custom musical sound design, as well as arrangements, remixes, and full music production. We also offer rapid licensing from our own catalogue of 100% original compositions, along with sonic branding, voiceover, and audio restoration. Our approach is bespoke and artist-led: we craft memorable, record-quality soundtracks that elevate every moment on screen, not just fill the space.
On the supervision side, we handle music direction, curation, and licensing from start to finish: from creative direction and custom playlists to fee negotiation, licensing strategy, and management of all paperwork. Whether for arthouse films or blockbusters, we always aim to push creative boundaries and champion cutting-edge ideas to craft unique and memorable soundtracks, while negotiating the best rates. Our expertise covers copyright due diligence and bespoke budgeting, ensuring every project stays both creatively inspiring and legally watertight.
Who we’ve worked with.
Recent clients include Amazon Studios, Netflix, Warner Brothers, Vogue, Mango and Jo Malone. We’ve secured synchronisation licensing deals of iconic artists ranging from The Beatles, Radiohead, No Doubt, The Rolling Stones, and Janis Joplin, to a plethora of emerging artists before they become future stars.

Headquartered in Barcelona, we operate globally in English, Spanish, French, and Farsi. Beyond the Studio.
As an artistic extension of MONA, founders Alison and Shervin also create and perform as the band Mona et Toi, a music project that has garnered support and radio play from KEXP, COLORSxSTUDIOS, and New Generation Award nominations at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival. In 2025, Mona et Toi signed an album deal with the prestigious label Mushroom Pillow. Their self-produced debut album, Radical Romance of Mind, mixed by Alex Ferrer (C. Tangana, Vitalic), is set for release in 2026: a hypnotic entry into their singular universe.
